Where Cindar's numbers come from
Real numbers first. When Cindar has to estimate, it tells you.
Restaurants: the menu's own numbers
Chain restaurants publish nutrition for their menus, and Cindar has it for more than 125 of them. The calories you see are the restaurant's own numbers, not a guess.
Packaged food: scan the barcode
A barcode pulls up the label's own numbers in a second.
Everyday foods: USDA data
Bananas, rice, eggs: the basics come straight from USDA nutrition data.
Photos: AI, clearly labelled
Snap your plate and Cindar's AI does the rest. Its numbers are always marked as estimates, and you can adjust anything before you log it.
We don't make numbers up
If Cindar doesn't know, it says so. Spot something off? Tell us at support@hestia.fit.
The same figures, matched to the calories left in a day.
Cindar keeps a running daily calorie budget from logged meals and from activity read through Apple Health or Health Connect, then shows which nearby restaurants and orders still fit. Meals log by photo, receipt or a line of text. Free on iPhone and Android.
